Chinese Old Forging technique, 12 processes, 36000 times of hand hammering
ZhenSanHuan owns the patent of ZhangQiu iron wok, hand-hammered with Chinese traditional cold working technique. This technique was used to make weapons in ancient history.
In December of 2018, our wok was filmed by A Bite of China, a famous documentary of Chinese cuisine.
In Jan of 2020, we were chosen as the designated kitchenware supplier of China pavilon at Expo 2020 Dubai UAF.

From a piece of rough iron board to a shiny silver wok, with 36,000 times of hammering, the wok gets a higher density of surface.
The more it is used, the more nonstick it gets. Iron is active, it generates an oxide protection layer to protect itself and this is the secret of being nonstick.

Hand-hammered wok, classic concaveness, high-density surface, no coating, no painting, physically nonstick. It is used for frying, stirfrying.
Cast iron wok: light, deep, ultra-durable surface make the wok compatible with metal, wood and silicone utensils and it is suitable for all kinds of foods. This wok can be used for stewing, boiling and stir-frying, boiling noodles and dumplings.
Low-quality Counterfeits Flooded
Recently too many people have been following the wild ride of the ZhangQiu Iron Wok – hand-hammered wok ever since A Bite of China filmed our products. But low-quality counterfeits have been flooding the market and caused a bad reputation of ZhangQiu Iron Wok.
If you don’t know how to tell whether it is fake, just think one experienced artisan can only hammer 1 wok a day (12 processes, 36,000 times of hammering) + shipping fee + business operation fee + package cost + platform commission fee…… how much should a wok cost? There is no free lunch in the world, and a little money couldn’t buy you a good lunch.
Not just quality, heirloom quality. Our woks have been through 12 processes, 36,000 times of hand-hammering. It shines like a mirror. You can see all the hammer prints but hardly feel them. Mirror surface allows ingredients to slide smoothly inside the wok.
Our woks have no coating nor painting. You don’t have to worry about the nonstick coating falling off.
Iron is reactive, and it will form a protective layer of iron oxide. The longer it is used, the more nonstick it is.
After going through thousands of times of experiments, we found the classic concaveness, not too shallow, not too deep, just right for heat conductivity, and best shape for stir frying.
Products require seasoning before use, blue black is pre-seasoned, Silver is the original color and has to be seasoned before use. We have detailed tutorial video to assist you to make it a piece of art.
