Easy Cheddar Jalapeno Irish Beer Bread

Recipe and photos by Launie Kettler

When you think of all the great things in the world, you may settle on “beer, jalapenos, and cheese.”

Or maybe that’s just us.

Of course, we’d also add: Puppies, kittens, ponies, sunny days, rainy days, beach days, sleeping-in-until-noon days, museums, coffee shops, and peace, love and understanding.

But, that’s a lot to ask from a simple loaf of bread, so we’re keeping it with “beer, jalapenos, and cheese.”

And, oh my.

Does this beer bread deliver.

It’s spicy and savory, and the hops from the beer just brings a certain je ne sais pas to the bread that makes it irresistible and full of possibilities.

You could cut it into slices for sandwiches or toast (to soak up any extra beer from your St. Patrick’s Day celebrations 😜), or – be still our collective hearts – you could skewer the toasted bread with meat and other cheese for the perfect appetizer on a toothpick.

But, no matter how you choose to eat this bread, you’re going to be happy with every, single, bite.

Now round up your ingredients, get that cutting board ready, grab your F.N. Sharp utility knife for some jalapeno prep and get that bread knife ready for slicing up this delicious cheddar jalapeno beer bread 😋
