Since Samsung introduced its Bespoke suite of appliances five years ago, it has innovated the line in exciting ways while never sacrificing on looks. With the introduction of AI into several of its offerings, the brand has been able to create a fridge that can help owners cut food waste, a range that can make recipe suggestions, and a robot vacuum with enhanced object recognition.
But what really knocked us out this year—enough to win a Good Design Award!—was the introduction of an all-in-one washer-dryer with a dizzying amount of actually useful bells and whistles. The Bespoke AI Laundry Combo blew us away for several reasons, and it’s our current front-runner early Black Friday deal at Lowe’s, running through November 27 at nearly half off.
While it boasts the largest capacity among washer-dryer combos, it deletes an entire appliance from your setup. More room for folding surfaces, organization, and anything else your clothes-cleaning heart desires. Installation is simple and doesn’t require venting; all you need are an outlet, water lines, and a drain pipe.
In addition to eliminating the need to transfer a wad of wet clothing from one location to another, the AI tech can detect which items you’ve put in and how dirty they are. Then it will auto-select a cycle—there are 23 for both washer and dryer modes—before it dispenses the exact amount of detergent needed. (Of course, you can manually select cycles and use other detergents for one-off loads if you please.) The speediest option can complete the entire job in an hour and a half. We also love the idea of the auto-open door; your freshly dried items won’t be locked in a steam room.
Don’t just take our word for it: The machine comes highly rated by reviewers. Some call it a “game changer” that “does what we need it to do; this idea was brilliant.” Others add that it’s “easy to use,” the “clothes come out superdry,” and it’s the “best invention ever.” While some note that it takes a little longer than conventional dryers to dry heavy loads, shoppers love it for its energy efficiency and quiet tone, and say it’s a no-brainer for large families.
